Heather Zirke started her law firm a little over 18 months ago. She was a lawyer with a full-time gig but, like so many of us, noticed that Covid changed her priorities. While she never thought of herself as an entrepreneur, a seed was planted when she thought about fitting work into her life, and not the other way around, which is how she’d worked and lived for many years. One of the things I love so much about Heather’s story is how slowly she made a professional shift. Going slow, and taking one step at a time, is an important skill that so many of us need to exercise as we grow our businesses, consider leaving our 9-5s, or shift our identities around what work actually means to us.
